Funwheel X7 to X10 Rail Swap in Under an Hour

Swapping X10 rails onto a Funwheel X7, step by step: longer rails, room for a bigger tire, 10° angle instead of 7° — done in under an hour.

By Beerty GuruJul 9, 2026

One hour. One rail swap. A different board at the end of it. In this one I take my Funwheel X7 and swap its rails for X10 rails — my first time doing it, filmed the whole way through.

Why put X10 rails on a Funwheel X7?

Two reasons, both simple:

  • The X10 rails are longer — which means they fit a bigger tire.
  • They sit at a 10° angle instead of 7° — a different stance geometry out of the same deck.

The swap, step by step

The video walks through the whole process step by step, start to finish. No shortcuts skipped over, no "and then it's done" jump cuts — this was my first rail swap and you see it as it happened. At the end you also get riding footage on the finished setup.

The board being operated on is the same X7 from the first-ride review — and the mini BTG tire experiment is what the longer rails made room for. Since it was my first time, I'd genuinely like to hear from riders who've done it: is the X10 rail set the best upgrade for the Funwheel X7? Tell me in the comments under the video.

Watch the full swap — one hour, real time, no magic cuts.
